چکیده
Compatible plant viral infections are a common cause of agricultural losses worldwide. Characterization the physiological responses controlling water management under combined stresses is great interest in current climate change scenario. We studied outcome TuMV infection on stomatal closure and balance, hormonal balance drought tolerance Arabidopsis. reduced aperture concomitantly with diminished gas exchange rate, daily consumption rosette initial dehydration rate. Infected plants overaccumulated salicylic acid abscisic showed altered expression levels key ABA homeostasis genes including biosynthesis catabolism. Also signalling gene ABI2 was induced ABCG40 (which imports into guard cells) highly upon infection. Hypermorfic abi2-1 mutant plants, but no other or SA biosynthetic, degradation mutants tested abolished both low conductance phenotypes caused by TuMV. Notwithstanding lower relative loss during infection, simultaneously subjected to higher mortality rates than mock-inoculated stressed controls, alongside downregulation drought-responsive RD29A. Our findings indicate that despite triggered TuMV, additional phenomena diminish

Overexpression of TaWRKY146 Increases Drought Tolerance through Inducing Stomatal Closure in Arabidopsis thaliana
As a superfamily of transcription factors, the tryptophan-arginine-lysine-tyrosine (WRKY) transcription factors have been found to be essential for abiotic and biotic stress responses in plants. Currently, only 76 WRKY transcription factors in wheat could be identified in the NCBI database, among which only a few have been functionally analyzed. Herein, a total of 188 WRKY transcription factors...
متن کاملReduced expression of the v-SNAREs AtVAMP71/AtVAMP7C gene family in Arabidopsis reduces drought tolerance by suppression of abscisic acid-dependent stomatal closure
Stomatal closure during water stress is a major plant mechanism for reducing the loss of water through leaves. The opening and closure of stomata are mediated by endomembrane trafficking. The role of the vacuolar trafficking pathway, that involves v-SNAREs of the AtVAMP71 family (formerly called AtVAMP7C) in stomatal movements, was analysed. Expression of AtVAMP711-14 genes was manipulated in A...
متن کاملRD20, a stress-inducible caleosin, participates in stomatal control, transpiration and drought tolerance in Arabidopsis thaliana.
Plants overcome water deficit conditions by combining molecular, biochemical and morphological changes. At the molecular level, many stress-responsive genes have been isolated, but knowledge of their physiological functions remains fragmentary. Here, we report data for RD20, a stress-inducible Arabidopsis gene that belongs to the caleosin family. As for other caleosins, we showed that RD20 loca...

Overexpression of AtMYB44 enhances stomatal closure to confer abiotic stress tolerance in transgenic Arabidopsis.
AtMYB44 belongs to the R2R3 MYB subgroup 22 transcription factor family in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana). Treatment with abscisic acid (ABA) induced AtMYB44 transcript accumulation within 30 min. The gene was also activated under various abiotic stresses, such as dehydration, low temperature, and salinity. In transgenic Arabidopsis carrying an AtMYB44 promoter-driven beta-glucuronidase (GU...
